Do you think the the MLS (soccer) league lacks the "spectacle" feel to ever make it mainstream?

I think SoccerRef is a very smart man. It's about time Americans lived in the real world. The USL joining the MLS, having a first division and second division with promotion and relegation is a great idea. You play in the top league by merit, not by just buying a stupid franchise.
