Do you believe in God?
I agree with you that there are contradictions in the Catholic religion, but that's why I am not Catholic. I believe in God and until you have a personal relationship with him it's hard to believe in him. I used to be atheist. The question you ask about who created God can also be asked about the thing that evolved into what we see today. What was the first particle that evolved and where did it come from. If there was a big bang that started it all what exploded and where did it come from. I realized after a while it takes just as much faith ( if not more ) to believe that we are here just by chance and this is it. There is also science in the bible. The bible says that the world is round (Isaiah 40:22). When Christopher Columbus sailed around the world and found America everyone thought he was crazy and that he was gonna fall off the edge of the world. A long time ago people thought there were 1100 stars in the sky. The bible says there are an unmeasurable amount of stars in the sky ( Jeremiah 33:22). The bible also says that the Earth is suspended in space ( Job 26:7 ) Some of these things man didn't know about until the 1400's. The reason they didn't was because they didn't have the technology to explore and find out for themselves so they didn't realize what it meant when they read it in the bible. God also gave people scientific minds so that they could we could live better lives here on Earth. I believe in evolution to an extent there are still too many holes in the theory. I do believe how ever that it is a possible explanation of how God created things.
