Is it scientifically possible or theoretically possible Greek/Roman gods exist?

The Greeks were living in caves and ran around naked at the time that some sort of intelligence was here. That intelligence left in the Greeks a history that probably was handed down for many generations before it got put down in written form. It is not hard to imagine that the Greek Gods were really just humans who were more advanced and for some reason faded away into mythical history as is prone to do any tribe that is left with an impression such as that of the Greeks. Heck, the Greeks fought wars naked probably because they couldn't afford cloths or didn't understand the need for them. Alexander had to have them shave and cut their hair so they wouldn't be so vulnerable during battles of a hand to hand nature. Is it really any wonder that at that time anything could have been a God if it scared or overwhelmed someone.
