Broken light turns on by itself?

A burned out bulb can temporarily repair itself. The filament separates in an incandescent bulb when it burns out. Sometimes a bit of vibration will cause the two halves of the filament to come back in contact and it will usually "weld" itself together from the spark. It will probably work for awhile but definitely time to replace the bulb.
