Learner Driver's license refused because of amplyopia?

I'm from India. The officer asked me to remove my spectacles and asked what's wrong with my eye? I said I have a squint and poor vision in my right eye, so he closed my left eye and asked me to see the calendar dates with the right eye. Obviously, with 10% vision in the right eye, I told him I couldn't see the dates. He immediately denied my application. What do I do now? I can see properly with my left eye and can drive normally as well.
