There is a short story i read in high school. it was about a pair of spectacles that made you see things?

The glasses made an old lady see things I forget what but eventually the spectacles kept getting passed on to other people. I loved the story but cannot remember the title. It is not Edgar Allen Poes story. Please help. I know that a key word is The Spectacles. Thank you.
