Why is it always God vs science?

Why is it majority of ppl either believe either or and refuse to belive science and God can go hand in hand it is said that no one knows how time Is for God basically a day is 24hours for us but may be longer or shorter for God so whos to say the scientific theory of the big bang wasnt Gods way of creating the world... Ppl love to prove miracles as just science but whose to say that just because it can supposedly be scientifically proven to have happend a certain way that it was not God behind the science of the miracle.... Why cant God and science go hand in hand why is it ppl believe in one or the other when clearly science and God go hand in hand.... I doubt science or things said to happen just from nature happen on its own it has to be something setting the events of nature and science in to place which in my opinion is God
