Wondering what my rights are on free products?

I saw an advert in my newspaper last week for a special offer my local optician was doing this weekend only. If you buy a pair of prescription spectacles you would receive a free glass case however, when I went in to the store I was informed the 'free' glass case was out of stock. What are my rights on receiving this free glass case?
